Hair Care
Hair care is very important to your body. Although, we no longer need body hair for warmth and protection like ancient man once did; hair still plays an enormous role in how we feel about ourselves.

Our hair is one of the most dramatic and beautiful adornments we posses. In terms of color, texture, and style, hair makes a dramatic, personalized statement about who we are. The hairstyles we wear are an expression of the current mood of society and have always changed to reflect the changes in our attitudes and culture.

When choosing a haircut, you will want to make sure it works with your hair texture and wave pattern (natural or artificial), and easy to maintain. With this in mind, trim your hair every 6-8 weeks(as often as 4 weeks for men), so that the line and shape of the cut looks fresh and defined.

Hair color and texture services can be an important part of your personal hairstyle statement and image as well. Exciting coloring, blonding, highlights, and gray hair coverage are enhancements you might wish to consider. But before making this decision, you will need to know some basic information about the hair.

Hair is composed of proteins that grows from the cells originating within the hair follicles. This is where the hair shaft begins. As soon as these living cells form, they begin their journey upward through the hair follicle. They mature in a process called keratinization. As these newly formed cells mature, they fill up with a fibrous protein called keratin, they move upward, lose their nucleus, and die.

By the time the hair shaft emerges from the scalp, the cells of the hair are completely keratinized and are no longer living. The hair shaft that emerges from the scalp is a nonliving fiber composed of keratinized proteins.
Hair is approximately 91 percent protein. The elements that make up human hair are carbon, oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen, and sulfur. These 5 elements are also found in the skin and nails.
